Keeping your home clean is a challenge, but with these easy tips you’ll never have to worry about making messes. These are things that work for all surfaces and every type of material.

The “homemade cat urine cleaner” is a homemade solution that can be used to clean up stains and messes. The recipe is simple, it only requires two ingredients, vinegar and baking soda.

Cats are generally neat, but if you live with one, you know how messy they can be. Cats produce a unique collection of stains and messes in our homes that need frequent cleaning, but here’s how to keep things tidy.

There’s cat hair all over the place!

We adore our luscious, fluffy fur, but it’s not so lovely when it’s all over our home. Place cat beds, mats, or blankets where your cat prefers to relax to keep the hair under control. These things, along with any deposited fur, may be simply washed.

Instead of using a sticky tape lint roller to remove cat hair from furniture, which may be costly and wasteful, gently spritz the area with water and wipe the fur away with a cloth or a regular lint brush. Rubber gloves are also useful for removing fur from cracks and crevices, such as between cushions.

Brushing your cat on a daily basis will, of course, assist to minimize the quantity of hair that collects in your house.

Here are a few items to have on hand:

  • White vinegar that has been distilled
  • Soda (baking)
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Peroxide (H2O2)
  • Cleaner with enzymes
  • Paper towels or rags
  • Brush with soft bristles
  • Bottle for spraying

Start by wiping up as much of the mess as you can using a paper towel or cloth for simple stains like vomit or a hairball. Remove as much moisture as possible by blotting the area. If the stain is on a carpet or cloth, sprinkle the affected area with baking soda and let it to absorb the moisture for approximately an hour.

Next, make a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water in a tiny spray bottle and spritz the area, which will cause the baking soda to bubble. Wipe away the baking soda and keep spraying and blotting the discoloration until it disappears.

We’ll need a bit more strength for pee stains. Use a paper towel or cloth to absorb as much urine as possible, then sprinkle with baking soda. Allow for a 15-minute cooling period before applying pure vinegar to the affected region.

Blot the area with a clean cloth when it fizzles.

In a clean spray bottle, combine 12 cup of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, 2 cups of water, and a teaspoon of simple liquid dish detergent to combat the stink. It’s a good idea to test this combination first on an inconspicuous portion of the carpet or fabric to ensure that it won’t discolor. Spray the hydrogen peroxide mixture over the soiled spot and work it into the carpet or fabric with a soft, bristles brush. Allow time for drying.

To keep the stink from reappearing, soak the area with an enzyme cleanser once it has dried fully, which might take a day or two. If the stench persists, vacuum completely and repeat the enzyme treatment.

Leaving a Legacy

Cats leave their smell and mark territory by rubbing their faces against the edges of walls and furniture, creating a filthy mess. To clear away those nasty markings, mix 50/50 water and vinegar with a teaspoon of liquid soap in a spray bottle.

It’s simple and fast to clean up after your cats. With a little forethought and the correct equipment, you can apply these feline cleaning concepts. Visitors will exclaim, “You’ve got cats?” as your cat and house get the cleaning attention they deserve.
